Students using Google Classroom for their work in a Yukon Education classroom must be using their Yukon Education Digital Services credentials and logged in through the Rapid Identity Portal.
Some features of Google Suite tools and Drive are turned off or add-ons/extensions are disabled because they are typically created by third-party developers and are not necessarily compliant with Canadian privacy laws (COPPA).

Google Drive
Google Drive is your online storage for all of the files and items you want to save, create or use with Google tools, especially Google Classroom.
You can store files in Google even if they are not in a Google-specific format BUT sometimes if you try to open non-Google files in Google applications, any formatting you had in a file may be mucked up.
Google Classroom
Google Classroom is an online/blended/digital extension of your regular classroom. It is a place where you can access your learning materials and assignments, create/complete work in a variety of formats and submit work to your instructor to be assessed or evaluated, and track what you've done and what you still need to complete.
Docs is Google's answer to Microsoft 365 Word and Apple's Pages applications. Same general functionality, although add-ons, which make Docs particularly robust, are largely disabled for Yukon Education due to the fact that most are created by third-party providers and might compromise privacy.
Google Slides
Slides is Google's equivalent to MSO365's PowerPoint and Apple's Keynote. As with other presentation software, you can create slide shows, save them as movies, embed media etc. .
Google Sites
Sites is Google's drag-n-drop website builder.
Google Sheets & Google Forms
Sheets is Google's version of MSO365's Excel and Apple's Numbers. The Forms application allows you to create integrated forms, survey and quizzes, and since the results can be exported to Google Sheets, they're together in this section.
